Williamsburg and the surrounding Historic Triangle is rich in American history. You can walk the streets of historic Williamsburg, eat in the old taverns, enjoy an ale... and visit where our history and independence was born and won. Then there is Jamestown, and the Jamestown Settlement, where Captain John Smith landed his three ships in 1607, establishing America's first permanent English settlement. Just down the historic Colonial Parkway is Yorktown, Virginia, site of the final victory of the American Revolution.
That's not all that the Williamsburg area has to offer though. If you need to get seriously wet, try Water Country USA, one of America's premier water parks, with thrilling rides, wave pools, live shows and other attractions for the whole family. Also nearby is President's Park, Williamsburg's newest educational museum, featuring 18-20 foot tall statues of all 43 Presidents of the United States Of America.
As if that weren't enough, the Williamsburg area boasts a Busch Gardens Europe theme park, with all of the attractions, thrills, great food and great shows that you would expect from Busch Gardens. The area has also become a shopping mecca, from the Williamsburg Pottery Factory (est. 1938) to numerous outlet malls, antiques stores and gift shops filled with one of a kind products produced by local craftsmen. Add world class restaurants, spas and the culture and fun provided by the local College of William and Mary, and if you can't find anything to do here, you're just not trying...
